Closet and toilet door lock from the end of the 19th century. The original model of the lock was manufactured by Låsfabriks Aktiebolaget EA Näsman & Co, in Eskilstuna with the number 37. The lock had an elegant brass lock and instead of a handle, a wrench shaped like a key. The lock was introduced in the company's catalog in 1898, when toilets in city apartments were becoming more common. Locks of the same type have been manufactured at the Björkboda Ruukki Lock Factory until the middle of the 20th century. The lock model has now been changed so that the same lock can be used on both right- and left-handed doors by turning the base plate.
