Rakennusapteekki brings construction equipment manufactured in Europe now to K-Rauto

Now Rakennusapteekki respond to the growing demand from builders and renovators by making their European, sustainable and beautiful construction products available in K-Rauto. K-Iron Rakennusapteekki is a department that provides not only products, but also information, advice and experiences. First K-Iron Rakennusapteekki opens in Karjaa.
The demand for Rakennusapteki's durable and beautiful construction products is growing - more and more Finns got the spark for renovation and construction during the pandemic, and the popularity of wood construction is constantly growing. There is a demand especially for products whose manufacture can stand up to scrutiny both aesthetically and also from the point of view of responsibility.
The core of Rakennusapteki's philosophy – the promotion of traditional production methods and aesthetics that respect building heritage – is still the same after all these years. However, the timelessness of the traditional Finnish building style has recently acquired completely new meanings and supporters: renovators and builders are now looking for durable, locally manufactured products that are also safe for their users. Up until now, it has been typical that builders cannot reliably verify the originality of many building materials or whether their manufacturer respects human rights and the principles of sustainable development.
All Rakennusapteekki'sthe products are manufactured in Europe, and partly also in Finland. The product range includes surface treatment products, stoves, lamps and other building materials.
"We manufacture a lot of products ourselves, and we know most of the other manufacturers personally. Over the years, we have put a lot of effort into finding the best creators and manufacturers who have a genuine desire for responsibility and maintaining traditional production methods", says Rabbe Ringbom, CEO of Rakennusapteki.
The war in Ukraine, which began as a continuation of the pandemic period, has exacerbated the shortage of materials and supplies in the construction sector and the uncertainty about the availability of construction products. Due to products manufactured nearby Rakennusapteekki provides certainty for supply chains and delivery times.
"The K-Rauta collaboration makes Rakennusapteek's products even better available to builders and renovators - but in addition to the products, there is also much more available. We have compiled a lot of advice and additional information for the department, and the concept also includes sales training in the subject area. So, in addition to the products and concrete instructions, the customer also gets ideas and information about what kind of construction philosophy we represent," says Anette Ringbom, founder and artistic director of Rakennusapteek.
The first K-Rauda Construction Pharmacy will open in the new K-Rauda in Karja on April 7, 2022. The large section offers over a thousand items from the Rakennusapteki product range. Negotiations for the next K-Rauten construction pharmacies are underway, and the goal is to expand operations to more and more Finns' local hardware stores. Products from different product groups are also available from other retailers of Rakennusapteki.
