Tuohi – Birch's miracle

Besides that, birch bark has many uses in construction, where it protects against moisture and rotting. Protected from sunlight, it can last intact for hundreds of years. After the birch is dried after harvesting, it stays dry forever. The surface can get wet, but the inside of the birch always stays dry. Birch is the most natural moisture and water insulation material, and it does not rot thanks to the waxes and cork suberin it contains. Used as a cover, for insulation between concrete, stone and wood, etc.

Renewable, sustainable and produced by nature, without heavy production methods.

The building pharmacies are native to Central Finland and will be repaired at the beginning of June. Some of the trees are used as timber and others continue to grow and produce new produce.

Tuohi is almost branchless (less than 10% branch holes) and is excellently suitable for handicrafts; for making knives, bags, furniture, wall materials, ropes, boxes, shoes, etc. Tuohi is sold dried in pieces of 50×50 cm or in bundles of 12.5 m2. Kindly ask for an offer for larger quantities.
