Classic exterior door knobs were manufactured at the end of the 19th century by Låsfabriksaktiebolaget EA Näsman & Co, in Eskilstuna, Sweden with the number 212. The fullness and roundness of the knob is typical of 19th century knobs, later models are slimmer. The button has been used in Sweden and Finland with decorative turned button plates and key plates belonging to the model. There is also a key plate on the latch.
Similar small Rakennusapteekki's the button can be found under code 12-41005-32-9FN and was on sale in the same E.A. Näsman catalog No 112 from 1898. The button is made of incessant brass.
