€6,73 ( incl. VAT )
Iron vitrill is used to gray wood and is a mild anti-mould agent with wood-protecting properties. Iron vitril is also used in the production of cooking paint. Unpainted wood treated with iron vitril will turn gray after some time. Vitrilli is mixed with boiled hot water to which a small amount of silver-grey stain is added. 1 kg of iron vitril is mixed with 6 liters of water + ½ bag of stain. The stain washes off with the rain, its purpose is only to help the artist during the painting phase. Iron vitrill can be applied with a large brush or sprayer. Iron parts, painted parts and glass must be protected. The gray tone appears after a few weeks and is ready in ½ – 2 years. Iron vitreous needs light to turn grey. The process does not work indoors.
